My Incredible experiences as a disabled person.
My experience with Britannia Hotels.

To tell my story, I started going to the golden 8 ball tournament in 2009 where I played in the pro competition, this was always scheduled around June 15th.

I played every year until I suffered 3 strokes in august 2020. I then lost the use of my right side and can no longer play.

This year I got my team mate to book when he was playing and assumed he was playing in the same competition as we always had.

I found out that he had booked me for the previous weeks tournament on the actual day, I was unable to attend with no notice because of my disability.

I then rang the hotel to re arrange my booking (350) for the week I had planned.

I was informed that normally this would be a simple rearrangement however I was told that because it was an "event" nothing could be done and I would not even get ANY type of refund!

I believe that the customer services woman (I don't know her name) seems to have discrimination against the disabled and when I informed her that I have to type slowly because I have only the use of my left hand, she started shouting over me and insisted repeat ably the same thing "I will not be shouted at, if you continue to shout I will disconnect the call", while I was completely silent letting her finish answering and promptly she disconnected the call.

She then did the same thing when she called me back, therefore showing me that she has the script of shouting at customers with the same script, this time I just asked for a refund, she reacted like she was paying out of her own money when I said I wanted to talk to her boss.

Anyway after much discussion I finally got my weekend moved (my initial attempt was Friday, contacting head office, the woman who dealt with me had already been spoken to by Saturday), I did not even get a receipt of my messages being received!

Tuesday they managed to sort things out by moving my booking ( no refund was offered).

Then there was my toilet issues.
